Back at Dorchester Hotel's Alain Ducasse, but this time with a fixed dinner menu which was so much better than before! 2008 came while we were finishing dessert, and amidst singing of Auld Lang Syne from the other tables, we were entertained by a bag-piper who had sauntered into the restaurant while doing his rounds around the hotel. As revellers filled the sidewalks after the firework display and light drizzle, we hurried home to pop a bottle of Dom Perignon 1998 to fully usher in the new year! Bon Annee 2008!
